Editorial final issue
In front of you is the last issue of the Journal of Medical Law and Ethics. The Journal will be discontinued by the end of 2020.
Back in 2013 we started with high hopes. And although the topic of the journal is important and relevant, we never saw the lift-off we hoped for. A combination of career developments and economic reasons made us decide to discontinue the journal.
I would like to thank everybody who contributed to the journal. All contributions will become Open Access.
A very special thanks goes to Lisa Cherkassky, creator and chief editor of the journal. Without her relentless effort we would have laid down our arms sooner.
